DATA CENTER GLOSSARY
General Terms
- Ecosystem: A network of interconnected systems or organisms. In the context of data centers, an ecosystem refers to the network of data centers, cloud providers, and other IT resources that can be used to store and manage data.
- Connectivity: The ability to connect two or more things. In the context of data centers, connectivity refers to the ability to connect a data center to the internet, other data centers, and cloud providers.
- Cloud Services: A range of IT services that are delivered over the internet. Cloud services can be used to store, manage, and process data.
- Resilient Infrastructure: An infrastructure that is designed to withstand and recover quickly from disruptions. In the context of data centers, resilient infrastructure refers to features such as redundant power supplies, cooling systems, and security measures that are designed to protect the data center from physical and environmental threats.
- Sustainability: The ability to be maintained at a certain level without exhausting resources. In the context of data centers, sustainability refers to the practice of designing and operating data centers in a way that minimizes their impact on the environment.
- Infrastructure: The basic physical and organizational structures and facilities needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. In the context of data centers, infrastructure refers to the physical facilities and systems that are used to store, manage, and protect data.
- Certification: The process of verifying that a product, service, or system meets certain standards. In the context of data centers, certification refers to the process of verifying that a data center meets certain standards of reliability and security.
- GIIC Deltamas: The data center is located in GIIC Deltamas, a business park in Cikarang, West Java, Indonesia. The park is strategically located near major highways and airports, and it has access to reliable power and cooling resources.
Technical Specifications of PT DHI
- Tier 3+ : The data center is certified as Tier 3+, which means that it has redundant power and cooling systems. This ensures that the data center can operate continuously even if there is a failure in one of the systems.
- N+1 cooling: The cooling system is designed with N+1 redundancy, which means that there is one additional cooling unit for every N cooling units. This ensures that there is always enough cooling capacity to meet the needs of the data center, even if one of the cooling units fails.
- Total GFA: The total GFA of the data center is 121,538 square meters. This is enough space to house a large number of IT equipment.
- IT Load Capacity: The IT load capacity of the data center is 80MW. This means that the data center can support a large number of IT devices.
- Total Power Capacity: The total power capacity of the data center is 126MW or 146 MVA. This is enough power to support the IT load and the cooling system.
Important Features
PT DHI also offers a number of other features that make it a reliable and secure data center, such as:
- Redundant cooling system: The data center has two independent cooling systems, which ensures that there is always a backup cooling system available in case of a cooling failure.
- Fire suppression system: The data center has a fire suppression system that is designed to extinguish fires quickly and effectively.
- Security system: The data center has a security system that is designed to protect the data from unauthorized access.
- Redundant power supply: The data center has two independent power feeds from different sources, which ensures that there is always a backup power supply available in case of a power outage.
